Hi, I’m Heather!
I help people reconnect with their bodies through strength, mobility, and martial arts–inspired movement.
I’m a former Michigan State bikini bodybuilding champion, longtime martial arts athlete & coach, and movement specialist with years of experience teaching both adults and kids.
After a serious hamstring injury forced me to step away from the way I had always trained, I rebuilt my relationship with movement from the ground up — and now help others do the same so they can feel stronger, safer, and more at home in their bodies.
Punchline Fitness is where performance training meets sustainability, resilience, and self-trust.

who is the movement lab for?
the movement lab is designed for people who:
• want to feel stronger, more flexible, and more capable in everyday life
• are curious about self-defense, boxing, or kickboxing but don’t want a traditional fight gym environment
• enjoy yoga or movement practice and want to build strength alongside it
• are returning to movement after injury or time away from exercise
• prefer thoughtful, inspirational coaching over extreme training programs
• want a welcoming space that supports women, queer folks, and beginners
what is the movement lab?
Movement Lab is Punchline Fitness’s signature training approach blending strength, yoga-informed movement, and fight-inspired skill building into sessions designed for real life.
The Movement Lab sessions focus on coordination, resilience, and confidence—not intensity for its own sake.
You’ll learn practical movement skills drawn from boxing, jiu-jitsu, and self-defense alongside strength and mobility work that supports long-term joint health.
No experience or equipment is needed to start—just curiosity about what your body can do.
